Our client is looking for an Accounting Clerk role. Our client is a book distribution company located in Jacksonville, FL 32254. This opportunity will be onsite.

Pay Rate: $19–$20/hr

This opportunity is with a well-established distributor of educational materials that services schools across the state of Florida. The organization provides both state-adopted and popular non-adopted instructional titles to educational institutions. With a strong reputation for accuracy, reliability, and support during the academic cycle, they are seeking an entry-level Accounting Clerk to join their onsite team and grow within the company.
Position Summary:
This is an entry-level accounting role ideal for someone with basic knowledge of accounting principles and a desire to build a long-term career in finance or accounting. The role supports a high-volume, detail-oriented environment during peak seasonal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general accounting duties such as data entry, invoice processing, and reconciliations
Assist with AP/AR processes
Research discrepancies and ensure financial accuracy
Understand and apply basic accounting concepts, including debits and credits
Maintain accuracy in all records and support month-end closing processes
Communicate effectively with internal teams for resolution of issues
Required Qualifications:
Experience in an entry-level accounting, billing, or AP/AR role
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Comfortable with researching and resolving issues
Basic knowledge of accounting processes and terminology
Ability to work onsite full time
Must be dependable and committed to no time off during June, July, or August (client's peak season – confirmation of availability must be included in your candidate submittal)
Some college coursework in Accounting or Finance is a plus, but not required
