As a Armed Security Officer - Government Site in Tavares, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter potential incidents while you interact with visitors and staff, providing excellent customer service and clear communication. This is an armed post, so you will be responsible for upholding security-related protocols with professionalism and integrity. What You'll Do:

• Greet and screen individuals entering the location, verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site-specific procedures.
• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
• Assist in emergency response activities, following established protocols and maintaining a calm, problem-solving approach during critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the building and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and address security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry points and control access to the location, reporting any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and the site.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and local authorities when necessary, representing Allied Universal at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
