As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers. A key priority includes assisting the Store Manager in the daily operation of the store. You will also maintain inventories, store appearance, and complete daily paperwork under the Store Manager's guidance. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Greet and assist customers in a positive, approachable manner. Answer questions and resolve customer inquiries and concerns. Maintain a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service. Ensure a clean, well-stocked store for customers. Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on Family Dollar operating practices and procedures, under the Store Manager's direction. Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store. Help with ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash register deposits and receipts. Support loss prevention efforts. Take on certain management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager. Follow all company policies and procedures. Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to interpret operational directives. Retail, grocery, or drug store management experience preferred. Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and up to 55 lbs occasionally, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling. Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Skills: Customer focus, potential development, results-driven, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, job knowledge, relationship management.
