Your responsibilities will include prototyping new hardware accessories and software applications, with a primary focus on Android, Linux, and embedded platforms. Development activities encompass creating new Android applications, developing Linux drivers, modifying frameworks and SDKs, and interfacing with new hardware. Skills/Experience: Must haves: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Mature interpersonal skills with an ability to collaboratively work with varied teams and resolve problems spanning many disciplines Self-starter who likes to be challenged and solve tough complex issues with a passion for coding Proven ability to design, debug and document complex software applications Proven OOD programming experience in C/C++ or Java is required; Kotlin experience is a plus. Strong Object Oriented Design fundamentals and design pattern experience is desired. Experience in the following areas is also preferred: Experience with Android framework and middleware along with JNI Experience in using or developing with Android NDK/JNI. Familiarity with Android audio framework, Stagefright, Surface Flinger, and other Android multimedia components. Prior experience with on-device AI runtimes like TFLite, Pytorch edge, ExecuTorch or Qualcomm AI stack. Familiarity with Python for AI/ML related software development Familiarity with audio signal processing algorithms such as ML-based echo cancellers/noise suppression, Voice UI/ASR, filter effects, etc. Experience with embedded development and real-time operating systems Experience in Linux or Android driver development. Strong debugging skills and familiar with debugging environments such as gdb, JTAG/Trace32 Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits: $111,300.00 - $166,900.00 The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
