Job Description

Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience. + 2 years of experience working in a consumer hardware technical environment, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree. + Experience with standard audio measurement and analysis tools, (e.g., ACQUA, SoundCheck, Audio Precision, Audition, Matlab/Python). + Experience with hearable audio systems (e.g., acoustics, transducers, microphones, ANC, and digital signal processing). Preferred qualifications: + Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP). + 7 years of experience with consumer hardware, producing new technology. + Experience in hearable audio system design, tuning and validation, including ANC, transparency and playback. + Experience in objective and subjective assessment of hearables audio quality and ANC/Transparency performance. + Experience with control theory and ANC. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Learn more about benefits at Google ( . + Collaborate with Product, Acoustic, Algorithm, and Software teams to define and develop hearable audio systems and deliver solutions that meet key user experiences. + Own tuning, evaluation and debugging of hearable audio algorithms, including Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), transparency, and playback. + Be an expert in objective and subjective testing, develop tools, tuning strategies and automate new methodologies to launch hearable audio solutions. + Validate and debug audio system software, coordinate on algorithm enhancements with developers.
