A food manufacturing company is seeking a Bilingual Japanese/English Interpreter to join their team in Garden Grove, CA . This position is responsible for supporting communication between Japanese and English speakers in the company, as well as providing administrative support. A bachelor's degree, 2+ years of interpreting, and the ability to speak, read, write Japanese and English are required. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a bonus, excellent benefits, and 401K. (Hybrid Work 2 days at the office)
Bilingual Japanese/English Interpreter Duties:
-Support communication between native Japanese and native English speakers in the company
-Attend and support internal and external meetings and negotiations
-Accompany and attend management on business trips, dinners, and events (Primarily in situations where English is required)
-Prepare meeting minutes (for meetings where minutes are required to be taken).
-Support management-level members in writing in English
-Communicate with external parties on behalf of the management level (By email and phone)
-Support expatriates from Japan in their daily life (related to procedures for new expatriate assignments)
-Administrative support for meetings organized by the Business Strategy Department
-Preparation of in-house newsletters
-Operational support for internal communication events
Bilingual Japanese/English Interpreter Skills:
-Must have a bachelor’s degree
-Must have 2+ years of interpreting
-Must be able to speak, read, and write Japanese and English
-Must be able to travel once or twice a year
-Ability to handle confidential information
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office related applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
