POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for delivering outstanding service to guests during breakfast hours. This role involves setting up and keeping the breakfast buffet organized, assisting guests, and maintaining a clean and inviting dining space. The breakfast attendant is essential in creating a positive guest experience and ensuring that all food and beverage offerings align with the hotel's high-quality standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet, ensuring that food and beverage items are stocked and presented attractively.

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, assisting with seating and answering any questions regarding breakfast offerings.

• Provide outstanding customer service, addressing guests' needs and requests promptly and courteously.

• Monitor food levels throughout breakfast hours, replenishing items as necessary.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including clearing tables and wiping down surfaces.

• Ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices are followed, including handling and storing food properly.

• Prepare coffee, tea, and other beverages for guests, ensuring quality and freshness.

• Assist guests with any special requests or dietary requirements, offering alternatives when necessary.

• Handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional manner and escalate to management when appropriate.

• Close the breakfast area at the end of the service, ensuring that all items are properly stored or disposed of, and the area is left clean and organized.

• Maintain a positive and helpful attitude while working as part of the team.

• All other duties as assigned. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No direct supervisory responsibilities.

• Must be able to handle a crisis in a calm, effective manner. This includes upset guests, fire, tornado, armed robbery and assault, bomb threats and accidents.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School education or GED required to accomplish the essential functions of this job. Our ideal candidate will have prior experience in a high-end hotel and/or One-year high volume bar experience required. Customer service experience preferred.
