Job Description

The Central Trucordia Carrier Relations team seeks a strategic Carrier Relations Director to enhance carrier engagement, optimize partnerships, and support offices with carrier initiatives. This senior role involves strengthening relationships with key P&C carrier partners, aligning with business goals to maximize growth and profitability. Candidates should have deep expertise in brokerage and carrier operations, knowledge of complex Property & Casualty insurance products, and a proven track record in managing carrier relationships.

This role is based within the East Platform region (ME, NH, MA, RI, CT, NJ, DE, MD, VA, NC, SC, VT, NY, PA). Candidates must reside within this area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement platform-specific strategies to enhance carrier relationships and optimize appointments.
  • Analyze carrier performance metrics and market trends to inform decisions.
  • Serve as the key liaison for platform-level carrier issues, escalating challenges as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align carrier relationships with business needs.
  • Lead negotiations with carriers to ensure fair compensation and growth opportunities.
  • Streamline carrier placement strategies and ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Represent the platform in carrier strategy discussions and industry events.

Qualifications

  • Deep brokerage experience and carrier relationship management skills (Non-Negotiable).
  • Minimum of 10+ years in a senior role, preferably within a brokerage.
  • Strong understanding of complex insurance products relevant to the region (Non-Negotiable).
  • Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proven relationship management skills.
  • Ability to leverage data analytics for decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Highly adaptable and independent.

  • Growth in premium and profitability with carrier partners.
  • Improvement in commission rates and appointment optimization.
  • Number of consolidated and optimized carriers.
  • Success in new business wins with carriers.
  • Strength of relationships with carrier leadership.

Reporting Structure

This role reports to the VP of Carrier Relations and collaborates with the broader Carrier Relations team, contributing to the platform's success and growth.
