Job Description

a Carrier Sales Representative, you will be a key member of a logistics team, responsible for:

• Sourcing and procuring qualified carriers, qualifying prospective carriers based on compliance and performance criteria.
• Preparing approved rate quotations that meet profit objectives and negotiating rates with carriers.
• Selling freight to carrier partners and booking shipments while entering all relevant data in the Transportation Management System (TMS), maintaining strong technical and computer skills.
• Tracking and reporting accurate, up-to-date shipment statuses to customers.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with carriers to expand opportunities with current and new customers.
• Handling dispatch duties as assigned and performing additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
• Maintaining awareness of business and market-related trends, including new product or service offerings, and determining their potential impact on the company.

Qualifications:

• Associates or bachelors degree.
• Previous experience in logistics or customer service is a plus but not required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (phone, video, email).
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Teams, GSuite, etc.) with the ability to learn and navigate industry-based software.
• Ability to cope with pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
