Join to apply for the EDUCATION ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR role at University of Alabama at Birmingham . To manage the activities and day-to-day operations of one or more complex educational programs, which may include multiple clerkships, medical students, residents and/or fellowships programs. To manage the entire scope of the selection process, including developing and proposing selection criteria, prescreening, etc. To ensure compliance with all national and university-related accreditation requirements for the program. To oversee the maintenance of academic files for students, residents and/or fellows, including rotations, evaluations, curriculum and other critical documentation. To manage administrative office support staff. Proven ability to develop, implement, and expand graduate medical education programs, including residency and fellowship initiatives. Skilled in curriculum development, accreditation preparation, and program evaluation. Responsibilities Oversees the adherence to required program guidelines as set forth by national and university organizations to ensure continued accreditation in a specific area. Coordinates process for accreditation site visits and prepares department for the visit. Oversees the recruiting, interviewing and matching of medical students for residency positions and residents for fellowship positions through the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). Develops and implements program-level departmental policies and procedures and manages budgets, as pertains to the education program and curriculum. Supervises the maintenance of program files and records including trainee information and oversees the maintenance of program databases and web sites. Prepare and submits reports to appropriate agencies. Supervises administrative office staff; hires, trains, delegate assignments and evaluates. Working on developing and overseeing 3 new departmental fellowships. Performs other duties as assigned. Salary Range: $50,050 - $81,330 Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education if related to design, delivery and evaluation of resident, medical student, fellowship or clerkship educational programs.
