The Opportunity

• Seeking Emergency Department/Urgent Care Center physician assistants.
• Minimum three (3) years Advanced Provider experience required.
• Looking for a nocturnist provider.
• Ideally a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday schedule, but can be flexible.
• Current national certification, DEA, ACLS, and BLS are preferred.
• Current CA state license is a plus, as licensing can take many months.

The Practice

Mercy San Juan Medical Center - Carmichael, California

• The 31-bed Emergency Department sees 85,000 annual ED patient visits.
• Mercy San Juan has 24/7 US, CT, XR, and MRI, as well as a wide variety of specialty consultants as the tertiary referral center for Dignity Health.
• The hospital is nationally known for its Comprehensive Stroke Center, STEMI Receiving Center, Level II Trauma Center and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, as well as for providing comprehensive cardiac care, advanced robotic surgery, and breakthrough treatments for brain disease through the Mercy Neurological Institute.

• Mercy San Juan is located in Carmichael, which is centered among many beautiful communities, some urban such as downtown Sacramento and some rural areas, such as the Sierra Foothills.
• Providers live in a variety of places such as downtown Sacramento, Roseville, Folsom, and many of the other gorgeous nearby neighborhoods.
• Residents regularly enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities including peaceful bike rides along the scenic American River Parkway, hiking and trail-running, plus spending summers along Folsom Lake paddleboarding, tubing and water skiing.
• Foodies will enjoy the Sacramento farm-to-fork scene and the ultra-authentic Asian food options such as Korean BBQ or Cantonese Dim Sum.
• The natural beauty and snow of the Sierra Nevada's and Lake Tahoe (only 2 hours away), the glamour of San Francisco (1.5 hours away), the splendor and peacefulness of the Napa Valley (1 hour away), plus Pacific Coast towns, are only a short drive away.
