About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Government Relations to lead and manage its local, state, and federal advocacy efforts. The role requires a detailed knowledge of the organization, functions, and processes of the relevant government bodies, as well as strong interpersonal, negotiation, and persuasion skills. The Executive Director will also be expected to monitor and analyze legislative and policy matters, prepare written materials, and work closely with senior leadership to influence funding and advance the institution's strategic priorities. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a legislative or higher education office, with a preference for those holding a Master's degree in a related field. The role demands a candidate with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remain flexible and adaptable, and collaborate effectively across the institution. Strong political acumen, the ability to make sound independent judgments, and a proven track record of successful interactions with diverse constituents are essential.
