At STERIS, your role as a Facility Systems Technician will allow you to leverage your technical skills in the management and upkeep of vital facility systems. This job is about more than maintenance: it’s about innovation, efficiency, and teamwork.

*Working Hours: This is a 3rd shift position. Working hours for this overnight role will be 5:30pm - 5:30am on a rotating schedule. Training for this position will be during the dayshift. The working hours during training will be M-F 7am - 3:30pm.*

• Handle advanced troubleshooting to keep our high-volume processing equipment in top condition.
• Advocate for and implement Lean practices to bolster equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Oversee HVAC system health, ensuring climate control that complies with environmental standards.
• Encourage a culture of safety and compliance with regular inspections and thorough documentation.
• Excel at responding to on-call emergencies, proving your reliability and commitment to operational excellence.
• Engage in continuous learning to maintain and expand your technical toolkit, keeping us ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications We Seek:

• Equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED
• Demonstrated 2 years' experience in a relevant maintenance setting
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
• Adept at using computerized maintenance systems
• Background with electro-mechanical systems is highly advantageous
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills

Further Requirements:

• Ability to meet physical requirements of position, including physical capacity evaluation testing and annual physical, as appropriate.
• Ability to successfully complete Operator training (classroom and hands-on) to become certified Operator and successfully pass Operator re-certification test annually.
• If required by the specific modality, this role is subject to passing Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) required background check.
