Logistics Analyst

Hybrid 3 days in office | Smyrna, GA

Blue Harlan is the recruitment partner to a high product count distribution company headquartered in Smyrna, GA seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Logistics Analyst . This role plays a key part in optimizing delivery routes, improving fleet efficiency, and supporting cost-effective transportation strategies. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, systems expertise, and a collaborative mindset to help drive continuous improvement across logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze delivery routes, transportation costs, and customer locations to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
  • Evaluate alternative routing strategies to enhance service levels and reduce mileage and cost per delivery
  • Support long-term capacity planning by assessing fleet utilization, delivery volumes, and cost alignment
  • Collaborate with Finance to model scenarios and assess financial impact of routing or network changes
  • Maintain and update transportation data in systems such as Omnitracs, Roadnet, and Oracle Transportation Management (OTM)
  • Build and manage advanced Excel models and dashboards to track KPIs and performance metrics
  • Partner cross-functionally with Warehouse, Sales, Dispatch, and Customer Service to align logistics strategies and initiatives
  • Present data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership to support business decisions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in logistics, transportation analysis, or supply chain operations
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query, etc.)
  • Experience with TMS platforms such as Omnitracs, Roadnet, or Oracle Transportation Management
  • Proven ability to interpret complex data sets and develop actionable insights
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
