Join the Night Shift: Mail Processor Extraordinaire Wanted
We are seeking a dedicated Mail Processor to join our team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient handling of mail and packages, ensuring that all items are processed accurately and in a timely manner . This position involves various tasks related to shipping and receiving, as well as maintaining organization within the warehouse.


Pay: $19 per hour



Schedule: Monday-Friday



Hours: Start time usually around 7 PM, and shifts can be anywhere from 4-8 hours (flexibility required)


Responsibilities

• Sorting and routing: Examine, sort, and route mail by destination, using both automated equipment and hand-sorting for specific items.
• Machine operation: Load, operate, adjust, and sometimes repair mail processing, sorting, and canceling machinery.
• Physical handling: Load and unload mail trucks, move heavy packages, and move mail bags using equipment.
• Preparation for delivery: Prepare packages for shipment, bundle and label outgoing mail, and place mail in bins for carrier routes.
• Package and postage management: Weigh parcels to determine postage, create shipping labels, and fix damaged packages.
• Record keeping: Keep records of shipments, and prepare statements of charges for postage.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in shipping and receiving roles.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with RF scanners and other warehouse technology is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds, as necessary for loading and unloading tasks.
• A proactive attitude towards maintaining safety standards within the warehouse environment.
