Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to lead and support daily maintenance operations within our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for supervising maintenance staff on first shift to ensure equipment reliability, and promoting a safe and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in industrial automation and a strong understanding of maintenance best practices.
Primary Responsibilities
• Provide guidance, direction, and supervision to maintenance employees
• Promptly address performance issues and support employee development
• Promote and enforce company policies, especially safety protocols and standards
• Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance tasks to support operational goals
• Maintain a positive and communicative presence on the shop floor
• Respond to employee concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure work areas are organized, clean, and productive
• Collaborate with other departments to meet company objectives
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or operational setting
• Experience troubleshooting industrial automation systems (instruments, electrical drives, PLCs)
• Solid understanding of industrial maintenance principles and practices
• Familiarity with structured problem-solving methods
• Flexible with shift assignments, including weekends and holidays
• Willingness to work extended hours to support continuous operations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal abilities
• Capable of organizing and prioritizing tasks effectively
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic industrial environment
• Able to collaborate with team members across all levels of the organization
