What You'll Do:

As our Math Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Design and implement instructional plans that adhere to district curriculum standards.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to actively engage students in their learning.
• Continuously assess student performance through informal and formative evaluations.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and the broader community.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and strengthen community relations.
• Commit to ongoing professional development and the integration of technology into the classroom.
• Participate in district-wide professional development opportunities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid State of Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Math endorsement.
• Proficiency in utilizing technology for instructional purposes.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of the academic, social, and emotional needs of students.

• Skilled in documenting student services provided.
• Ability to manage caseloads effectively while meeting deadlines for paperwork.

• Prepare thoroughly for each class by developing annual plans, unit plans, syllabi, lesson plans, and grading assignments while maintaining communication with parents and students.
• Submit weekly lesson plans for review.
• Organize and lead parent-teacher conferences three times a year.
• Attend all faculty meetings to collaborate with staff.
• Develop and implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain discipline and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
• Learn to use the online grading system efficiently.

Position: Certified Math Teacher

Compensation: Up to $50 per hour
