MRI Technologist - Barnes (Nights) at BJC summary:

An MRI Technologist at Barnes-Jewish Hospital performs advanced diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily Magnetic Resonance Imaging, for both adult and pediatric patients to assist in diagnosis and treatment. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, conducting imaging studies independently, and ensuring quality control during procedures. Working night shifts, the technologist collaborates with a skilled medical team in a fast-paced, academic hospital environment known for cutting-edge radiology technology and patient care.

Position Details:

• NO CALL!!!
• Night Shift Hours: Overnight (Wed/Th/Fri) for either 12's (6pm-6:30am) or 13's (5pm-6:30am)
• Full-Time – 36 Hours per Week
• Benefits Eligible
• 5% Advanced Modality Differential
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Requirements:

• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R) and/or MR
• Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher level of education)

Experience:

Role Purpose

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
