Job Description
Description Under the direction of the VP-Chief Pharmacy Officer & Director of Pharmacy Operations and Ambulatory Manager, the Pharmacy Immunization and Inventory Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality pharmacy services by providing leadership, direction, and expertise in the planning, development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of services related to immunizations and medication inventory. The coordinator will assist in overseeing procurement, storage, distribution, purchasing, and inventory control processes.
This role involves coordinating quality clinical services with the purchasing department to develop procedures, policies, and protocols for immunizations, medication inventory, and population health promotion, including research in these areas. The coordinator will meet with hospital departments to support decision analysis and maintain plans for immunizations to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care tailored to the patient population. Compliance with departmental, institutional policies, and regulations from bodies like the FDA, DEA, and The Joint Commission is required. The coordinator will also oversee pharmacy purchasing staff and attend regular meetings.
