Job Description

The PROCEDEO Group is seeking a Procurement Manager to assist in contracting design and construction professionals for a K12 client in the South Dallas Area. The new Manager will work with our K12 school district client to qualify these consultants, coordinate interviews, contract their professional services, and ensure compliance with the district’s procurement rules.

The primary responsibilities of this role will include:

• Managing and participating as a selection committee member to evaluate proposals, interviews and contracts
• Research, write and/or review RFQ’s and RFP’s in accordance with applicable Federal, State and Local Laws
• Coordinate and establish a bid calendar, and then coordinate those bid openings
• Prepare and coordinate public Pre-Bid Meetings
• Help draft and manage all architecture and construction contracts for the district

Candidate Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years of experience as an institutional procurement professional or executive administrator
• Professional Degree in business administration, marketing or a related field is preferred
• Basic understanding of the architecture/engineering/construction process
• Ability to negotiate and execute subcontract agreements
• Must live in or around Dallas, TX, or be willing to relocate to/near Dallas
• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
• Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Understanding of both the CMAR and Design/Build delivery methods
• Must work well in a team environment and be committed to client service
• A valid Driver’s License
• This is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the employee is not eligible for overtime compensation.
