Job Summary: The Purchasing Agent is responsible for purchasing goods and services for the company in a cost-effective and efficient manner while ensuring the company's operational needs are met, adhering to budget constraints and company policies. Qualifications: 1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education beyond high school is preferred. 2. Training and Experience: Minimum of one year in the building industry and/or in a supervisor role. Proficiency in Excel is required. Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. 3. Job Knowledge: Understanding of the building material industry and procurement/inventory management practices. 4. Physical Demands: Work requires some physical effort and involves standing, much walking, and medium lifting. Works in and out of an air-conditioned environment, but mostly in an office, cubicle setting. (Important: This job is classified in the physical demands section of the [Form IV-31] as constant sedentary and occasional light work.)
