Job Description

Safety Specialist (Oakdale, CA)

LHH is teaming up with a leading organization in the manufacturing sector in Oakdale, CA in search of an Safety Specialist to support site-level safety and compliance initiatives.

The role plays a key part in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, with a focus on tracking safety metrics, supporting investigations, and driving EH&S programs forward. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about workplace safety. They bring a strong understanding of EH&S principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Experience in manufacturing or food production is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and distribute reports tracking EH&S metrics and initiatives.
  • Support implementation of corporate safety and training systems.
  • Participate in accident investigations and assist with reporting.
  • Monitor employee health and safety activities.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining emergency action plans.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management or related field, or 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with food safety, quality, and manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret technical information and manage multiple tasks.
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills desirable.

Job Type: Contract (duration TBD)

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Fully on-site in Oakdale, CA

Hours: Full-time, Standard business hours

Pay Rate: $37.00 - $38.00/hour
