ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Midland, Texas.
Job Description & RequirementsOpportunity:
\nRegistered Nurse - PACU
\n\nJob Details:
\n• 2 years of experience preferred with all surgeries except cardiac procedures
\n• Experience with pediatrics required and critical care strongly preferred
\n• Must assist with coverage in Pre-Op as needed
\n• Level II trauma experience preferred
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH
\n• Call responsibilities required
\n• Patient ratio of 2:1 during day shifts
\n• Must work minimum of 1 weekend shift per contract
\n• Care for patients of all age groups from 8 months to 100+ years old
\n• Experience required with recovering patients from Plastics, Urology, Dental, and GYN procedures
\n• Must have experience monitoring patients with nerve blocks, chest tube insertions, central lines, intubation, and A-lines
\n• Unit has 21 beds with daily census of 30 patients
\n• Cerner charting system experience preferred
\n• Must orient to Pre-Op Holding as PACU and Pre-Op are connected units
\n• Expected to work some holidays
\n• On-site drug screening required
\n• Local candidates within 50 mile radius not accepted

\nThis healthcare facility operates a comprehensive Post Anesthesia Care Unit that provides recovery services for patients following various surgical procedures except cardiac surgeries. The facility maintains a 21-bed PACU with interdisciplinary support services including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The unit is connected to Pre-Op Holding and serves patients across all age groups with a focus on quality post-operative care and monitoring.
