A familiarity of medical terminology and drug types, as well as the common abbreviations used in writing medication orders, and a knowledge of names, strengths, and dosage forms of medications is required. The incumbent must be able to follow procedures efficiently and accurately with minimum supervision. **This is a non-state service, time-limited position with Mississippi State Hospital (MSH). **What you'll need to be Successful: Successful candidates must have a good attitude, be ready and willing to learn and grow, have strong attention to detail, strong communication skills, and excellent organizational skills.Preferred Qualifications: Typically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency, 0-2 years of experience, and a passing score on the registration exam must be obtained within the first year of being a technician.
