DT-Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Polacca, Arizona.
Registered Nurse – Inpatient Unit
Location: Hopi Health Care Center, Hwy 264, Mile Marker 388, Polacca, AZ 86042
Pay and Benefits:
• $42.50 per hour
• $62.75 overtime
• $500 travel allowance
• $1,533 weekly per diem
• $3,233 gross per week based on 40 hours
Assignment Details:
• 12-month base period with four optional 12-month extensions
• 12-hour shifts: 0730–2000 or 1930–0800
• Possible 10-hour shifts and additional coverage as needed
• 24/7 inpatient coverage including staff leave coverage
Position Summary:
Provide full-scope inpatient nursing care to maintain consistent patient coverage and reduce service disruptions. Deliver direct care, manage patient needs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a high-acuity setting.
Key Duties:
• Perform patient assessments, plan and implement care, and evaluate outcomes
• Administer medications, treatments, oxygen, and blood products
• Operate and monitor therapeutic devices and medical equipment
• Document care, interventions, and patient status in the EHR
• Respond to emergencies and participate in rapid response situations
• Support daily living needs and provide patient education
• Conduct quality checks and collect lab specimens
• Assign tasks to ancillary staff and support team coordination
Qualifications:
• Active, unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state or territory)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience, including 2 years med-surg
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (all required)
• CGFNS certification for foreign-educated nurses
Preferred Experience:
• Prior IHS or tribal healthcare experience
• Med-surg experience in remote or tribal settings
• Proficiency with electronic medical records
