Key Responsibilities of the Pathology Assistant:

Assist pathologists with grossing surgical specimens and preparing tissue samples.

Ensure proper handling, labeling, and processing of specimens.

Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records.

Operate and maintain laboratory equipment according to safety standards.

Collaborate with pathology team members to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic results.

Adhere to all laboratory safety, infection control, and quality standards.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Pathology Assistant or Medical Laboratory Science).

Certification as a Pathologist Assistant (PA-C) or eligibility to obtain.

Minimum 1–2 years of recent experience in pathology or anatomic laboratory settings.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
